Mid-May was in Juneau, Alaska, celebrated for the second time the Juneau Maritime Festival. It was not just a sausage meal overlooking the harbor. The crew of an MH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter of the U.S. Coast Guard, stationed in Sitka, led by a SAR demonstration in front of the spectators who gathered on the quay of the Juneau Harbor. Just one week later, on May 22 it was serious. A boat with tourists on board was 80 nautical miles north of Kodiak, under the Gulf of Alaska. All five people were rescued. The emergency call was issued by the Captain of the cutter by radio and ampfangen of the station of the USCG. The lower picture shows Petty Officer 3rd Class Ralph Aguero, a lifeguard on the USCG, as he just reached the five survivors. From the water, he will maneuver each of them to the rescue cage of the Jayhawk. Using a winch they are successively drawn up in the cabin.
